Main attraction Wawel Castle

Wawel is a hill rising above the Vistula River in Krakow, on which stands the Royal Castle. For centuries, the kings of Poland had their seat here. It's open to visitors, who can see the chambers and many works of art.

Appetizer: obwarzanek - a traditional circle-shaped dry pastry sprinkled with poppy seeds, salt or sesame seeds.

Main course: king of dumlings consisting of thin pastry usually served with cabbage and mushroom stuffing.

Dessert: Krakow pischinger - wheat crispy wafers layers with thick chocolate cream.

Wieliczka Salt Mine:

While in Krakow, it is worth going to the nearby town of Wieliczka and visiting the UNESCO World Heritage attraction, the Salt Mine. It is a unique mining facility from the 13th century, which delights tourists from all over the world with its beauty and uniqueness. The main attraction is a descent of 135 metres below the surface, where visitors can see salt lakes, chapels, statues or impressive underground chambers carved in salt.
