Description

Understanding the nuclear structure at high energy is an important problem which has been also addressed at the LHC. The observed effects on particle production might be related to modification of parton distributions in the initial state of collision and should be distinguished from the final state effects in hot and dense nuclear matter. I will discuss the recent results obtained by the ALICE Collaboration and present future plans to perform such measurements with the upgraded ALICE detector.
