Description
In this section we present the OM analysis and CC effects using the phenomenological Wood-Saxon potential (WSP) for the elastic scattering angular distribution of 9Be + 90Zr system. The detail of this potential can be found in several works. The projectile 9Be inelastic states were included in the coupling matrix and the same calculations were first repeated using WSP six parameters model beginning with standard values. That is, two depths with following values, Vr = 100 MeV and Wi = 50 MeV, the two radii, Rr and Ri values at 1.06 fm and the two diffuseness ar and ai values at 0.2 fm. Further, then to obtain the best-fits, only two diffuseness values were varied to 0.7 fm. The calculations were performed using the code FRESCO. It is clearly evident that, projectile 9Be inelastic states are insufficient to produce the results and varying the parameters follows the traditional method of fitting the data with hindrance of actual reaction channels investigation. Therefore target 90Zr inelastic states, along with reorientation effect inclusion will be required which might reproduce the experimental data in accordance with theoretical curves and care can be taken for the minimal variation of the OM parameters. Accordingly, the calculations will be made for the rest of energies where inelastic states of both projectile and target will be coupled. Also, projectile being the weakly bound, breakup effects will be studied using continuum discretized coupled channel (CDCC) calculations.
