Description
Using a Multi Step Shell Model (MSM) approach we analyze the excitation spectra of the alpha like nuclei 104Te and 136Te, by coupling two particle states above the doubly magic nuclei 100Sn and 132Sn. We build two particle states (pp, nn and pn) with which we describe the structure of the isotopes of Te, Sn and Sb through a Tamm-Dankoff Approach (TDA) with multipole-multipole residual interaction. We then proceed to calculate B(E2) transition values between 0+, 2+ and 4+ multipoles and compare them with existing experimental data. We present the differences between the predicted quartet structures of 104Te and 136Te.
