Description

Inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry is flexible and high throughput analytical  technique which has been increasingly applied to radionuclide quantification. Aplications include measurements of one or multiple radionuclides in relations to environmental studies , nuclear industry, nuclear medicine, biological measurement, the half-life of medium and long-lived radionuclides and deccomisioning. Triple quadrupole inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP MS/MS) has shown strong ability for long-half lived radionuclide analysies with respect to interference removal capability. We explore the ability of ICP MS/MS for the ultra trace determination of Pu, Cs, U isotopes in environmental, biological and nuclear industry samples.
