Description

We are pleased to invite you to the conference Multiscale phenomena in molecular matter, which will be held in Kraków 1-4 July 2019. The conference will take place in The Henryk Niewodniczański Institute of Nuclear Physics, Polish Academy of Sciences.

The meeting will be devoted to research on molecular materials and it will concern structure, dynamics, relaxation, magnetism, acoustics and other properties as probed by various experimental techniques and theoretical tools within a broad range of time- and length-scales.

Topics will cover liquid crystals, glass formers, molecular magnets, nanomagnets, molecular layered systems, polymers as well as biologically oriented and advanced materials for applications. Reports on experimental, theoretical and computational results are expected. We intend to promote collaborative research among physicists, chemists and material engineers.

The conference will involve the following sessions:

1. Soft matter and glass formers.
2. Molecular magnets and nanomagnets.
3. Multifunctional materials.
4. Surfaces and interfaces.
5. Miscellany (biologically oriented systems, new ideas, advanced methods,...).

This meeting is a sequel to a long series of biennial conferences Neutron scattering spectroscopy and related phenomena organized and animated by our late Professor Jerzy Janik (cf. our previous conferece at http://www.multis2017.ifj.edu.pl).
