DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Michał Horodecki (International Centre for Theory o
 f Quantum Technologies\, University of Gdańsk)\n\nQuantronics is  a lab 
 established  in France in 80-ties. But it is also a good name  for  ele
 ctronics with some electronic elements being quantum – like Josephson ju
 nction or quantum dot.  In the first part of the talk I will present basi
 cs of these experimental platforms. Next I will briefly sketch the on-goin
 g work performed in Gdańsk in this domain. It  includes: 1) implementing
  quantum thermal machines by means of superconducting qubit technology 2) 
 calorimetric detection of microwave photons (motivated e.g. by search for 
 dark matter) 3) shooting single hole/electrons from quantum dot 4) photoce
 ll made  out of double quantum dot.  Finally I will say more details abo
 ut most mature of these project  - on chip quantum heat engine.\n\nhttps:
