Computer simulations of the molecular dynamics of glass-forming liquids play a key role in understanding the molecular nature of crystallization and vitrification processes. In particular, much attention has been paid to the influence of the nature of the intermolecular potential on the thermodynamic stability of a substance and the behavior of its molecular dynamics. For this purpose, the so-called simple liquids, characterized by a monatomic structure of molecules and, consequently, symmetry of intermolecular interactions. This approximation, while theoretically sound, completely ignores the role of structural anisotropy that is inherent in real molecules. Therefore, a necessary direction of research seems to be simulations of quasi-real molecules - several-atomic, anisotropic molecules made of one type of atoms, which consequently reproduce the structure of real molecules much more precisely, while being as simplified as possible. The presented results of studies on quasi-real systems clearly show that aspects of molecular architecture, such as the anisotropy of interactions or the orientation of the dipole moment, significantly influence not only the nature of the molecular dynamics of the system, but also its thermodynamic stability.
