DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Tianwen Zhou\n\nQuantum chromodynamics (QCD)\, the g
auge theory of the strong interaction\, is characterized by confinement an
d asymptotic freedom. While perturbative QCD is well established at high e
nergies\, the non-perturbative regime\, governing the formation and dynami
cs of hadrons\, remains a major challenge in particle physics. Exotic hadr
ons\, with internal structures beyond conventional mesons and baryons pred
icted by the quark model\, serve as a powerful probe of non-perturbative Q
CD. Among them\, open-charm tetraquarks\, a class of exotic states carryin
g a nonzero charm quantum number\, were first observed by the LHCb experim
ent in 2020\, opening a new avenue in hadron spectroscopy. The LHCb experim
ent at the Large Hadron Collider at CERN\, with its precise vertex reconst
ruction\, excellent particle identification and flexible trigger\, is well
suited for studying exotic hadrons in heavy-flavour decays. Recent LHCb r
esults on open-charm tetraquarks are presented and compared with related m
easurements. Future prospects are also discussed. You are all very welcome!
The traditional tea and biscuits will take place after the seminar.\n\nht
