Machine learning algorithms and neural networks in the study of soft matter

Soft matter forms well-defined phases in the context of phase transition theory. The absence of ideal symmetry, characteristic of crystalline structures, creates challenging requirements for the analysis of experimental data. In this presentation, I will discuss how machine learning and neural network tools can be used to analyze infrared spectra and images of liquid crystal textures.
